Dr. James McKim to Speak at The Hepatocyte Expert Program In San Diego

Dr. James McKim

Dr. James McKim

On Thursday, September 7th, at 8:00 AM, IONTOX president Dr. James McKim will be discussing new methods for understanding the importance of transporters and adaptive mechanisms for assessing a compound’s ability to cause cholestatic toxicity at the Expert Program in San Diego.

In addition to discussing hepatoxicity, Dr. Mckim will be speaking on how these same models can then be linked with a multiple organ culture system to predict systemic toxicity in humans.

This presentation, done in conjunction with Qualyst Transporter Solutions, promises to shed light on failures of existing hepatic models and how new models can greatly enhance an organizations ability to understand how both their compound effects cholestasis, transporter function, and systemic toxicity in humans.
